On the 21st and 22nd of February, 2014, 35 participants attended the GCP Course organized by CIDAL in the Hotel Crown Plaza Guatemala City, Guatemala.

On April 4th and 5th, 2014, 34 participants which included investigators, clinical study coordinators, nurses, medical students and members of the Catholic University attended a GCP course in San Pedro Sula. Participants included physicians who had travelled to San Pedro Sula from as far away as Tegucigalpa. Special thanks to Dr. Agustin Bueso and Dr. Luis Cousin from the Committee of Technology in Investigation for their cooperation and aid.

Santiago, Dominican Republic
On March 21st, A course was arranged for professionals in the City of Santiago at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra. A total of 48 participants will receive their GCP certificate. On January 17th, CIDAL associates partnered with Dr. Dolores Mejía, a member of the Ethics Committee of Investigation of the “Hospital General de la Plaza de la Salúd”, to conduct a GCP course at the Hospital Plaza de la Salúd and certified 35 professionals in good clinical practices.

As part of CIDAL´s ongoing commitment to research training and Academic Outreach Activities, five Good Clinical Practices (GCP) in Investigation courses were conducted in the first trimester of 2014 certifying 163 professionals from Central America and the Caribbean.
