TRAINING AND ACADEMIC OUTREACH
Research TrainingIn the year 2000, CIDAL, in association with the Guatemalan Society of Internal Medicine, and under the auspices of the Ministry of Health, pioneered the first Good Clinical Practices (GCP) course in Guatemala. CIDAL has certified over 800 professionals from Guatemala, Honduras and Costa Rica, making CIDAL the primary source for clinical research training in the region. In addition to GCP courses, CIDAL also provides training for Study Coordinators, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Protocol Overview for new clinical trials. Through clinical research training, CIDAL expands and strengthens its ties with networks of investigators and investigational sites. |
Academic Outreach ActivitiesCIDAL strives to be more than just an ordinary CRO. Through academic outreach activities, CIDAL’s internationally experienced staff members have interacted with local institutions and professionals and with their knowledge contributed to the clinical research field. CIDAL is a leader in promoting conferences, congresses and seminars at local and international levels. CIDAL has also played a vital role in the development and execution of clinical trials in the region by working closely with the local Ministries of Health (MoH) and medical associations in the Policy-shaping process to promote appropriate regulations and adopt current international norms and standards. |
